A Business Proposal tells the story of Shin HaRi, a single professional dealing with unrequited love for her friend. Discovering her crush has a girlfriend, she seeks comfort from her wealthy friend, Jin YoungSeo. Jin YoungSeo persuades Shin HaRi to impersonate her on a blind date, offering financial compensation. Shin HaRi accepts, aiming to deliberately get rejected. However, she's stunned when her date turns out to be Kang TaeMu, the CEO of her own company. Kang TaeMu, a devoted workaholic, is constantly bothered by his grandfather's attempts to set him up. Annoyed, he decides to marry the next woman he meets on a blind date to finally achieve peace. That woman is Shin HaRi, though she's pretending to be Jin YoungSeo. The following day, Kang TaeMu calls her and proposes marriage, completely unaware of her real identity.
