"The Red Envelope" introduces Menn, a superstraight police spy whose life takes an unexpected turn when he accidentally picks up a mysterious red envelope. This simple act binds him to a supernatural marriage contract, forcing him to wed Titi, a charmingly progressive gay ghost. Desperate to break free from this spectral union, Menn reluctantly agrees to help Titi uncover the truth behind his untimely death, hoping Titi will find peace and finally depart.
Their investigation soon intertwines with a complex illegal drug case that Menn and his colleague, policewoman Goi – whom he secretly admires – are already investigating. Believing that solving this high-stakes case will benefit his career and potentially his love life with Goi, Menn fully commits to this unusual mission. What begins as a forced supernatural partnership gradually blossoms into an unlikely and profound bond between a living straight man and a deceased gay man, as they navigate the dangerous world of crime and the supernatural to reveal a haunting truth.
