Hishakai Shindo centers on a high school student who has abandoned his beloved music, leaving his heart closed due to a past incident. He seeks temporary solace, but an unyielding emptiness persists. Overwhelmed, he retreats to the school rooftop where, amidst the beautiful blend of sky and sea, he unexpectedly finds himself humming the music he thought he had given up.
On the roof, he encounters his classmate Konno Ryohei, a quiet but deeply passionate individual dedicated to his camera. Hayakawa is powerfully attracted to Konno’s unwavering focus and love for photography. However, this admiration is complicated by growing feelings of intense jealousy and inferiority when he compares himself to Konno's steadfast dreams. Consumed by these intricate emotions, Hayakawa blurts out his uncontrollable feelings. From that day forward, their relationship transforms from a simple friendship into something profound, exploring themes of healing, self-discovery, and the complexities of human connection.
