Koisenu Futari introduces Sakiko, a woman who struggles to navigate a society built on the assumption that everyone will fall in love. Constantly pressured by her mother to marry, Sakiko feels like an outsider. Her perspective begins to shift when she encounters a supermarket employee, Takahashi, during a "fallinlove" campaign organized by her junior at work. She is surprised and relieved to hear him acknowledge that some people simply don't fall in love.
Seeking independence from her mother's insistent demands, Sakiko plans to move out. However, her cohabitation plans with a friend unexpectedly fall through. Just when she feels disheartened, fate intervenes, and Sakiko finds herself sharing a living space with Takahashi. United by their similar values towards romance, or lack thereof, these two aromantic and asexual individuals begin building a life together under one roof, exploring what connection and home truly mean without romantic expectations.
