My Sassy Princess: Wake Up, Sleeping Beauty offers a fresh, modern reimagination of the timeless classic. This film introduces Aurora, a captivating, freespirited, and daring young woman navigating contemporary society. Aurora lives with an unshakeable confidence, firmly believing that no matter how hard she falls, her metaphorical prince on a white horse will always arrive to save her.
Her adventurous spirit is driven by this very conviction, leading her to embrace life's challenges without fear. However, Aurora's journey takes a dramatic and unexpected turn when she falls too hard, becoming the modern-day Sleeping Beauty. This time, the comforting certainty of a savior is gone. The critical twist reveals that there is no one left to rescue her, forcing Aurora to confront her predicament alone. The film explores what happens when a fiercely independent woman, used to being saved, finds herself in a situation where she must finally save herself.
