"Mystery Freshman" plunges into the high-stakes world of deception when Ah Young, after failing university entrance exams twice, fabricates a story of acceptance to Myungsung University to appease her family. Instead of revealing Ah Young’s secret, Jung Eun proposes an audacious swap: Ah Young must attend classes in her place, living a double life on campus.
As Ah Young navigates the intricate challenges of university life under a borrowed identity, the constant threat of exposure looms large. During this period of intense pretense, she crosses paths with Min Sung, a fellow freshman who carries his own profound secret. Min Sung, it turns out, has enrolled in the university using a fake name. Ah Young's perilous journey of maintaining her facade becomes entangled with the intriguing mystery surrounding Min Sung, creating a compelling narrative of interwoven secrets, identity crises, and the unexpected bonds formed within a web of carefully constructed lies.
